Cornerwall House

A three-bedroom, 3.5-bath house built in 1905 as a ship captain’s home, fully renovated but still carrying its original architectural charm. All three second-floor bedrooms have en-suite baths finished in coral stone and open onto private balconies over the harbour; downstairs, an open-plan living and dining area leads out to a pool and sun deck facing the same water. It’s close enough to town to walk to two supermarkets, restaurants, and a coffee shop — a genuine convenience on an island where a car is usually required.

Worth knowing: there’s no carbon monoxide detector on the property. Heating isn’t included, a non-issue for the climate, though pool heating can be arranged for a fee in winter. The nearest beach is a 17-minute walk up a moderate hill (or a quick drive), and like the rest of Eleuthera, power outages happen occasionally — hence the backup generator.
