Paradise at Sunset

A single-level, 3-bedroom home on the beach in Current, built around the idea that outdoor living is the whole point of a Bahamas trip. Three ocean-view decks handle everything from shaded afternoons to sunset cocktails to lounging steps from the sand, and an outdoor kitchen with a wine fridge and gas grill means meals rarely move inside. A private sauna, hot tub, and two outdoor bathtubs round it out — most of the bathing here happens facing the water.

Worth knowing: there’s no fire department on Eleuthera, so the hosts ask that the fire pit be fully extinguished before anyone leaves it. The property is on filtered, UV-purified well water — safe to drink, though bottled water is also provided. Tides shift about 3 feet here, so the included paddle boards need to be secured rather than left on the beach. Pets are allowed, a rarer find among the island’s rentals.
